Spike necklaces!

Spiked necklaces are really on trend right now, there are lot of different styles to choose from for any occasion. Spiked necklaces are a great statement jewellery they are very versatile with pretty much any outfit! Above are 4 different styles I have chosen.

The first is a casual Gold & blue spike triangle necklace (£5.99) from New Look, this is a tribal style necklace. Great to wear with a printed maxi, why not try with a bright coloured plain T-shirt and printed trousers.

The second is more of a statement piece, the ASOS Mix it necklace (£40) from ASOSThis necklace has two different styles of spikes both based on a thick chain, the left side is made up of diamonds spikes and the right solid metal spikes. This piece is great to pair with your little black dress a perfect going out accessory!

The third and fourth are pieces which can be but can be worn with a casual outfit, to work or even a night out. The Sliver tone leaf spike necklace (£12) from River Island is a rusty sliver colour with leaf spikes giving it a tribal feel. The Matte spike collar (£28) from Topshop is gold and white with two different sized solid spikes. Both these necklaces will look great with the blazer looks I did in a earlier post.

So why not give Spiked necklaces a go and remember Shine like a Star!

Purple & Turquiose Walima Look!

This is a simple twist on a traditional walima look.

For the makeup I created a purple smoky eye with an intense under eye colour. The eyeshadow is a blend of pearl, gold and purple with turquoise underneath. For the checks I used bronzer with a hint of glitter & I went for a pinkish nude lipstick.

For the hair I went with a simple side fringe, and medium size bridal bun. I then added large size swirls of hair to the crown and bun. I went with large swirls to give a more natural look instead of having more structural looking swirls, giving this bun a effortless look.

Bangladeshi inspired bridal look & party/going out look!

I recently did a photo shoot with two looks.
The first is a Bangladeshi inspired bridal look, the second is a party/going out look.

The first looks the outfit was an orange Asian bridal lengha which I styled in a  Bangladeshi way. For the makeup I did a orange, pearl & black smoky eye shadow, with orange blusher & lips. The fringe is thick plait with two smaller plaits running though, one is a 3 way plate and the second a fish plait. The bun is covered with a thick 4 way plait and thin 3 way plaits.

The second looks outfit is a black short dress. For the second looks makeup I did soft sliver smoky eye shadow with pink blush and red lips. I curled the hair and loosen some curls to create a softer curl. The fringe was curled and back brushed on the face slightly.

For the second look I have made a behind the scenes video.

My Nikkah look is for more of  modern asain bride. The hair is big and creative with different style and size plaits going across the left side and forming a big side bun. The makeup is navy blue and green smoky eyeshadow, with thick black eyeliner & light blue glitter underneath, pink lips and blush.

Pop of colour in your plait!

French plaits are a great simple hairstyle perfect for all year round.

Easy & quick to do, this hairstyle can be worn for any occasion. There are so many ways of wearing it, from side partings to middle, hair up or hair down, straight or curly hair, the choice is endless!

Adding an accessory to your hair is always fun. Here I have added a pop of colour to my plait to match my outfit, giving it just that little bit extra. Adding ribbon or wool is a simple way to jazz up a plait and it will only take a few minutes.
